Baptism

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”
Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus told his followers to go out and make disciples and baptize them! So, we do this too. Lutherans believe that the sacrament of baptism is for infants, children, youth and adults. Baptisms are performed as part of a worship service, (unless under emergency circumstances) as we are inviting our whole community to help you in your faith journey.

Infants and children are then invited to claim those baptismal promises for themselves when they are old enough, through confirmation classes taken at middle school age and participating in the rite of Affirmation of Baptism.

If you want to know more about baptism for yourself or your child, please contact the church office by phone or email to set up an appointment with Pr. Tricia for more information.
